Incoming orders have reduced significantly over the last few weeks. In February and March 2009, orders received so far by Alphaform AG are approximately 30% below the comparable orders received in the same months in the previous year. Because of this drop in orders, measures taken to reduce costs have proven insufficient. For this reason, the Alphaform AG Management Board and Works Council have concluded an employment agreement today which sees the introduction of short working hours for almost all areas at Alphaform AG from 1 April 2009. Currently, the Management Board at Alphaform AG is unable to issue a resilient forecast about the duration of these measures, meaning that it is also unable to make a projection about the effects on the sales position and results of operations in 2009. Measures have already been introduced to reduce costs by €1.8 million in total over the course of the year.
